Information you provide:
Information collected automatically: a device identifier plus general usage and diagnostic data used to operate the App, prevent abuse, and fix problems; and your IP address, used for security and rate-limiting.
Information from third parties: if you use social sign-in, Apple or Google provides a verified email and, where available, your name. Our payments partner (RevenueCat, via Apple) tells us your subscription status — we do not receive your payment card details, as Apple processes payments.
Some features use artificial intelligence. To provide them, we may send relevant inputs — such as an ingredient list, a product photo, a skin-analysis photo, or a question you ask the in-app assistant — to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a result we return to you. We do not sell your data, and your inputs are not used to train AI models.
Your control: these inputs are sent over an encrypted connection and processed only to produce your result. Saaf does not intentionally store your selfie or AI inputs on our servers after processing; they briefly transit our hosting infrastructure and Anthropic's systems, which retain data only as described in their own policies and our agreements with them. You can delete your account and all associated data anytime in Settings.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that process it on our behalf, under contracts limiting their use of it:
These service providers are contractually required to protect your information to a standard consistent with this Policy and to use it only to provide services to us — not for their own purposes.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. When you delete your account, we delete your associated profile, products, and account data, and — if you signed in with Apple — revoke your Sign in with Apple token. Some limited records may be retained where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes. Note that Apple and our payments partner (RevenueCat) independently retain your subscription and purchase records for financial, tax, and legal purposes; those are governed by their own policies and are outside our control.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example under the GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA) to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. To make a request, email support@thesaafapp.com.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and encryption of sensitive credentials at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.
Saaf is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Saaf provides educational information about skincare products and ingredients. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for a licensed dermatologist or healthcare provider. Always consult a professional about a skin condition or reaction.
We operate in the United States, and your information may be processed there and in other countries where our service providers operate.
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
